Two new houses in the Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle.
Our first project, designed by Patricia Bittner and built by Case D&PM. These homes were a testing ground for resource-and-energy-efficient construction methods. An ICF Foundation system, Cellulose Insulation, and Radiant Floor Heat all provide for winter comfort, while lots of natural ventilation tempers summer extremes. The low-maintenance membrane roof and rain-screen exterior provide a longer-lasting home. Like all of our projects, these homes are highly efficient in their use of space and materials.
